Advantage and Disadvantage

Core rule

With Advantage, roll two d20s and use the higher result. With Disadvantage, use the lower result.

Stage 1 · Combat basicsAttacks and dice

Multiple sources of Advantage do not add more dice. The same applies to multiple sources of Disadvantage.

If at least one source of each applies to the same roll, they cancel. Two sources of Advantage and one of Disadvantage still cancel.

Advantage uses 16; Disadvantage uses 7. Bonuses are added after choosing the die.

Chance without Advantage or Disadvantage 60%

Independent, fair dice; Karmic Dice and automatic hits are excluded.
