Rotting imposes Disadvantage on Charisma checks and saves; Flesh Rot additionally makes the creature Vulnerable to all damage.
Flesh Rot creates a much broader danger than a single-type Vulnerability. Reduce exposure to attacks while looking for a remedy.
Similar disease names do not imply identical penalties. Check for a remedy that removes disease rather than assuming ordinary healing is sufficient.
