Effect
PoisonedPoisoned imposes Disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks.
It makes attacks and skill checks less reliable. The ordinary Poisoned condition does not impose Disadvantage on all saving throws.
Poison damage and the Poisoned condition are separate. An effect can deal damage, inflict the condition, or do both.

BurningA Burning creature takes 1d4 Fire damage each turn.
Taking Fire damage once is different from having Burning remain on you. Leaving the flames does not necessarily remove an existing condition.
Wet and Help are among the ways to remove Burning. Move away from a persistent fire surface as well, or it may affect you again.

AcidThe Acid condition reduces Armour Class by 2.
Lower Armour Class makes attacks more likely to hit. The condition itself should not be assumed to deal Acid damage every turn.
